Questions before renovating your home in Dublin

When should I contact an interior designer?

Ideally before fixing the layout or asking contractors to price a detailed scope. You can start with a few photos, an existing plan if available, and your main questions. You do not need to arrive with a finished brief.

How much does interior design cost?

Fees depend on the size, complexity and scope of the design work. We discuss your priorities and available budget before preparing a proposal. Design fees, building work, furniture, fabrication and deliveries are separate costs; no single estimate is meaningful until the scope is defined.

Can you help with just one room?

Yes. Room Edit focuses on layout, furniture and the coherence of one room. If several spaces depend on each other, we first clarify whether a broader design study would be more appropriate.

How do you work with architects and contractors?

We define our interior design scope alongside the roles of the other professionals. Structural, statutory and specialist technical work must be assigned to the appropriately qualified professionals where required. Contractor appointments and on-site responsibilities are agreed separately.

Can we work together remotely?

Hugo Dzikowski is based in Dublin. Meeting formats, site visits, measurements and any remote collaboration are agreed for each project. We explain what information is needed and who is responsible for checking the existing property.
